Správny čas zájsť do knižnice a požičať si Vianočnú koledu od Charlesa Dickensa! ;)

Durinov deň

 „Then what is Durin‘s Day?“ asked Elrond.

 „The first day of the dwarves. New Year,“ said Thorin, „is as all should know the first, day of the last moon of Autumn on the threshold of Winter. We still call it Durin‘s Day when the last moon of Autumn and the sun are in the sky together. But this will not help us much, I fear, for it passes our skill in these days to guess when such a time will come again.“

Okrem toho, že J. R. R. Tolkien napísal aj diela ako The Hobbit a The Lord of the Rings, vďaka rozsiahlym editáciam a snahe jeho syna Christophera, máme možnosť spoznať históriu Stredozeme obohatenú o množstvo nádherných príbehov. Toto dielo uzrelo svetlo sveta práve v tento deň pred tridsiatimi šiestimi rokmi :)
 Tolkienova fantázia priam uchvacuje, ale nie každému, čo si obľúbil jeho iné diela, vyhovuje aj The Silmarillion a The Children v Húrin, ale ak ste si v srdci vyhradili miesto pre jeho tvorbu, prečítajte si aj The Silmarillion.
 Richard Armitage, britský herec, ktorý stvárňuje Thorina v The Hobbit, The Silmarillion čítal a okrem toho si zjavne našiel čas aj pre The Book of Lost Tales, čo sa dozvedáme z odkazu: Tolkien trivia ;)
 V The Silmarillion ide o Nauglamír, pomenovanie Nauglafring pochádza z alternatívnej a nedokončenej verzie príbehu.
 To a mnoho iných zaujímavostí sa dozviete popri skúmani Tolkienovej tvorby- odporúčam začať s The Silmarillion :) Príjemné čítanie :)
